There is one person in every room that everybody else is already tuned to. There is one body cue that gives them away. Find that person and you get the whole group… without working the room at all.

Dear Friend,
Walk into a room of forty people and you have three choices.
You can work each person one at a time. Slow. Exhausting. By the time you get to person number six, the party is over.
You can try to move the whole group at once. Now you’re pushing against forty people’s worth of energy. Good luck.
Or…
You can find the ONE person everybody else in that room is already tuned to. Connect with them. And let it ripple.
As I told the class when we covered this:
“If all their juice is connected to one guy, I only need that one guy… and I get the whole group.”
Every group has that person. Every table at the networking mixer. Every huddle at the party. Every committee, every board, every family.
There’s one body cue that almost always gives them away. It isn’t eye contact. It isn’t who is talking loudest. And almost nobody knows to look for it. I’ll tell you where to find it in a minute.
Have you ever been the nicest person in the room… and gone home alone?
Done everything right? Listened. Matched. Paced. Been genuinely, sincerely likeable… and ended up everybody’s buddy and nobody’s first choice?
Meanwhile some other guy walks in, barely says a word, and the whole room turns toward him like sunflowers.
It’s maddening. And it isn’t your fault.
Classic NLP rapport buys you friendship. That’s it. It doesn’t buy attraction. It doesn’t buy excitement. It doesn’t buy authority. It doesn’t buy you the room.
For that you need what I call vibing, and vibing takes three things at once:
The physical connection. Matched energy. And a status gap.
Miss any one of the three and nothing fires.
Think about the last job you had with an office.
When you got called to the boss’s office, where did you stop? At the door. You knocked.
When the boss came to your office? He walked right in, right up to your desk. Didn’t think twice. And neither did you.
That’s status. How far you can come into someone’s space before they push back. It is never spoken, and it is running under every interaction you have.
Come into a group too low, and even your compliments land like insults. (There was a video years ago of a man dressed as a homeless person on a New York sidewalk, trying to hand money to businessmen walking past. They were FURIOUS.)
Come in too high and you get rejected for not fitting in.
This module shows you exactly where the line is… and how to put yourself on the right side of it on purpose.
MIT researcher Alex Pentland spent years measuring what he calls honest signals (Honest Signals, MIT Press, 2008): four channels of nonverbal behavior running below conscious awareness that predict how people and groups will decide.
Not what they say. How they move while they say it.
Mimicry. Influence. Activity level. Consistency.
In Lesson 3 I walk you through all four and show you the one to start using tomorrow. It will tell you, among other things, whether the person across from you is actually interested… or just being polite until they can get away.
MY 60-DAY “DO THE DRILLS, GET SKILLS” GUARANTEE
Watch the lessons. Run the drills on real people. If it isn’t everything I’ve described here, email support@stealthhypnosis.com any time in the next 60 days and you get every cent back. No hoops, no questions. The risk is on me to deliver… and on you to apply.
You walk into a party, a mixer, a boardroom, a family reunion.
In the first ninety seconds you’ve read the room. You know what energy it’s running at. You know who everybody is orbiting around. You know exactly how to pitch your entrance so you bring the room up a notch instead of pulling it down.
You connect with one person. And you watch the rest of the group quietly open up to make room for you.
That’s Status and Signals. Module 3 of Killer Influence.
As I told that class: “You didn’t sign up to this class to be who you are. You signed up to learn how to get what you want, which means becoming the person who can have it.”

This is Module 3 of Killer Influence, the five-day live certification where I teach the whole system in one room. Modules 1 and 2 are about one connection at a time. This one is about rooms.
It stands on its own. It hits hardest when you already have the Module 1 and 2 drills underneath it.
If you believe “just be yourself” is all anyone should ever need, this module is going to annoy you.
But if you’re ready to deal with the world the way it actually works, and be the person who walks in and gets the room, this is for you.
